Indian Youth Shining Globally with Their Intelligence, Skills, and Abilities: Dr. Rajeshwar Singh

*Lucknow*: If your plan is for one year, then sow crops; if it's for ten years, then plant trees, but if your plan is for a hundred years, then educate your children. Continuous efforts are being made towards providing quality education for children in India. As a result, the literacy rate, which was 18% at the time of independence, has now increased to 77%. In the present time, the world recognizes the intelligence, capabilities, and skills of Indian youth. In the United States, more than 38% of doctors, over 36% of scientists at NASA, 34% at Microsoft, and 28% at IBM are Indian. India boasts the second-largest education network in the world, with over a thousand universities and more than four crore students pursuing higher education in the country.

These statements were made by BJP MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh during a commemorative program organized on the 17th memorial of the founder of Lucknow Public School, C.P. Singh. The event took place at LPS School in Sector I, where Dr. Rajeshwar Singh paid tribute to C.P. Singh by offering flowers and inaugurated the program by lighting a lamp. Cultural presentations were given by the children.

Dr. Rajeshwar Singh acknowledged the contributions of CP Singh to the field of education and stated that Lucknow Public School, under his visionary leadership, has been providing education aligned with the principles of learning, progress, and success for 35 years. Over 36,000 students from this school have gone on to make their mark globally, and currently, 17,000 students from the school's 10 branches are receiving education, making a significant contribution to the field of education.

Dr. Rajeshwar Singh offered guidance to the children, saying that the radiance and enthusiasm on their faces signify a bright future for the country. India is a young nation, with 70 crore people below the age of 35, and 60% of the population being youth. The youth are the future of the country, and in the coming years, India is poised to become the world's third-largest economy.

Addressing the challenges of the future, the Sarojininagar mla mentioned that competitions are continuously increasing. In UPSC, 15 lakh candidates participate, but only 1,000 are successful. Similarly, in PCS-PPS, 7-8 lakh children appear, and only 200 to 250 are successful. Therefore, it is the responsibility of parents, teachers, and all of us to start preparing the future generation for the challenges ahead.

Emphasizing on digital literacy, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh stated that the coming era belongs to artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics. Ray Kurzweil of the United States has predicted that computers will reach human intelligence levels by 2029. By 2045, these supercomputers will be more intelligent than combined human intelligence. Therefore, it is crucial for children to be digitally literate so that they can be prepared for global competitions.

Highlighting the need for environmental conservation, Sarojininagar MLA stated that pollution causes naainti lakh deaths worldwide, and in India, this number stands at twainti daive lakhs. It is our duty to make children aware of increasing pollution, rising temperatures, and the need to reduce plastic usage, and encourage them to participate in tree planting.

Dr. Rajeshwar Singh also encouraged children to engage in physical activity and sports, emphasizing that a physically healthy person is the nation's invaluable asset. Lifestyle diseases are on the rise in India, with over  tencrore diabetes patients, earning India the title of the Diabetes Capital of the World

Explaining the importance of exercise and sports in life, Dr. Singh said that physical activity keeps individuals fit, healthy and mentally alert In Sarojininagar he continuous 'Sarojininagar Sports League' is being organized to encourage sporting talents The first phase featured an Under-19 basketball tournament, followed by a cricket league, and now a football championship is being held in the third phase
